Reflections
Do we question God?
Children often question their parents, “why this?” and “why that?”
As we grow in The Lord, we learn to trust The Lord and that He does see everything, knows all things, and judges all things perfectly, in His Way and timing.
A Good Father wants His children to ask Him and seek out things of Him; without trying to know it all, understand it all, or worse, think they know better than The Father. Some run ahead, or even go out on their own, because they do not agree with how The Father does things, or are not patient to wait for the understanding to come in His Timing.
“Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
(Matthew 6:31-34)
Why is The Way narrow and few find it?
Jesus is The Way to Truth and Life, and there is no other Way to the Father but through Christ Jesus. All other ways are broad and lead to lies that only destroy in the end.
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” (Matthew 7:13-15)
This world has broad views, broadminded ways, thinking they know the way, and they have the truth, and they know how to save themselves or conquer to overcome something.
Jesus revealed, and warned, that this world has no truth and it cannot receive the Spirit of Truth. All have fallen under the spirit of lies that floods this world leading so many away on its broad path; unless they are healed, come of out from under this, and take heed to those The Lord God has sent.
“And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” (Luke 1:17)
“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” (Isaiah 40:3)
This world opposes The Truth that Jesus is the Only Way, Truth and Life. Jesus is Who all the Holy Prophets pointed to and waited upon. But many false prophets come with their ways saying to follow them and refuse that Jesus is the Only Way to The Father. This world rejects what The Lord God sends and tries to stop all that have come in The Name of The Lord declaring The Word of God for God’s Will to be known.
“For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” (Matthew 3:3)
“But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.” (Matthew 17:12)
It’s impossible to know God in Truth outside of Jesus Who is The Word of God, and we cannot please God without Faith and Trust in Him.
“To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt, Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.” (Acts 7:39-40)
Ultimately, all who reject God’s Truth will lift themselves up as their own god and truth then. Claiming to be the wisest head of it, or even the mind of a god, thinking they know the way by their own mind, or the combined minds of their wisest in this world.
Jesus teaches us the opposite, and that we should trust The Lord God only, and not lean to our understanding, or think we must figure it all out ahead of time.
“Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.”
(Matthew 5:33-39)
How would we know who is who, what to do, and what is “Truth” then?
“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
Be encouraged by others in The Lord, as they imitate The Lord Jesus Christ, and not when they do not. As Jesus says…His Word is True, but if they say they follow Him, but do not as He said, then do not follow them or imitate them.
Jesus reveals how to know His versus others. His people receive the Spirit of Truth that is confirmed by the very Words Jesus spoke, and The Word of God confirms itself. We keep this within us and do as He said to do.
By their fruit you will know them. Do they imitate Jesus, or do they imitate this world or others in it, in self-pride to follow other ways, the will of others, or their own will and desires by the works of their own hands? Are they lovers of self instead of God?
"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." (Psalm 51:17)
We are to be meek in Truth, fully surrendered to Jesus, and doing as Jesus commanded to do. Or do they profess Jesus but go do what they want to do instead and not do as The Lord said to do. Do they forgive or do they seek vengeance, stuck under eye for an eye still, or teaching ways outside of what Jesus said?
There are even times we, or others, may seem to be on the narrow path but of a wrong mindset still. The Lord will block The Way to all who think to walk through the narrow and continue like that, even using a donkey if needed.
“And the angel of the Lord went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.” (Numbers 22:26) “Then the Lord opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.” (Numbers 22:31)
Why are we blessed in mourning, and weeping? …. Why must we suffer so much here Lord?
Why must we suffer sifting, temptations, corrections, endure losses (just or unjust), and go through many trials through our life here?
We mourn and cry, in and out of seasons, finding ourselves to be so powerless at times.
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”
(2 Corinthians 4:7-10)
Like David, now having a contrite heart and broken spirit is being meek in Truth because we are fully surrendered to The Lord’s Will be done, and not our own. Understanding comes because we suffered many things and have learned this simple but profound Truth.
“Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4) “Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh." (Luke 6:21)
Then, like David, after the sifting, the chastening, even suffering losses we can praise The Lord in all things, once we start to understand He really does see, and know best, and The Lord shall Lift us up afterward, and we shall Praise The Lord now in Spirit and Truth.
“And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.”
(Isaiah 42:16)
“For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.”
(Isaiah 51:3)
We often get fearful and shaken in mind and heart, but who do we run to? What comforts us to continue and endure through it all? The only strength and power that endures to the end is the Love of God within us of the Eternal Peace of God granted to us, that His Word is True, and He will do all He Promised, for HE is Faithful and True.
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
(Revelation 21:4)
“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.”
(Hebrews 12:6-29)
“For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Join with us on this journey, to not only fully receive His love to overflowing, but also in pouring that same pure love out to others precisely and perfectly while forsaking self.
As we follow His leading with humility, anointing is released, in order His will may be done in our lives, hearts and minds, on Earth just as it is in Heaven. As you settle into a place of wholeness, in lack of nothing, save Him.
This is your Serendipity moment… Your date with the Divine, so to speak. All are worthy and invited to this table, as we gather together of one accord, for the purpose of glorifying Jesus in the Name of Love, Himself.
