Hinds’ Feet...
The third day is deeply meaningful in the Bible, symbolizing new life, restoration, and God's powerful intervention, all pointing to divine provision and triumph over death and chaos. It signifies a pattern of deliverance, moving from testing (Day 1) and waiting (Day 2) to complete revival and new beginnings (Day 3).
Key Scripture References:
- Creation (Genesis 1): On the third day, God separated the waters, brought forth dry land, and commanded the earth to produce vegetation, establishing a pattern of bringing order and life from chaos.
- Jonah (Jonah 1:17): Jonah spent three days and nights in the belly of the great fish, a symbol of death, before being delivered, foreshadowing Jesus' time in the tomb.
- Abraham (Genesis 22): Abraham reached the place to sacrifice Isaac on the third day, where God provided a ram, a foreshadowing of ultimate sacrifice and provision.
- Jesus' Resurrection (New Testament): Jesus rose on the third day, fulfilling prophecies (like Hosea 6:1-2) and proving His power over death, marking the beginning of the new creation and the "eighth day" of God's eternal kingdom.
- Esther (Book of Esther): Esther approached the king on the third day of her fast to save her people, a moment of crucial intervention.
Symbolic Significance:
- New Life & Hope: The third day brings forth life, mirroring Jesus' resurrection as the ultimate source of new life.
- Completeness & Wholeness: The number three in scripture often signifies divine wholeness, with the third day representing the completion of God's restorative work.
- Testing & Deliverance: It marks the transition from trial and darkness to divine breakthrough and hope, as seen in Jesus' journey from crucifixion to resurrection.
Isn’t that just incredible? And I cannot help but wonder if this too doesn’t play into the only sign given is the sign of Jonah spoken of in and how the Bride makes herself ready by the washing of her robes in the blood of Jesus, prepared to meet Him…
Mathew 12:38-41
Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here.
Clearly this is pointing to Jesus and since He is present and is the sign… no other one is needed and it is wicked to be constantly seeking a sign when we have Him as the only perfect sign given. This prophecy was fulfilled, just as it is written – Jonah was in the belly of the whale three days and restored and Jesus was in the tomb for three days as well, defeating death and was risen from the dead.
Hinds’ Feet, Chapter 18:
Clearly the underlying meaning of this chapter is the removal of all hypocrisy hidden within us. The deep and secret areas of our lives is being uprooted in that we actually do worship the Lord in spirit and in truth – and not just thinking we are doing so.
Everything about who we once were, must die in order we become new and live. Hence… the overcoming. Jesus is helping us through hardships to reject every single temptation the enemy can present before us to insure we are truly marked by Him and are victorious.
Desire and deception are so intimately entwined we often miss it. No other voice can lead us astray unless we desire that voice over our Lord Jesus’s. Nor can the enemy deceive us unless we desire to be deceived. Meaning if we have any desire for anything unrighteous, we will seek it out, hear from it and be led astray by our own desires. Now thankfully, for those who belong to Jesus, He will not lose one of His own – but we sure can get sifted when we follow a voice other than His.
He promises to hold no good thing from those who walk uprightly… the issue is, we often get entangled with bad things that produce bad situations in our lives… If only we would learn quickly how imperative it is to be obedient, surrendered and not our own anymore- everything that torments would settle and we would rest in Jesus continually, in a state of restful peace, becoming content in both plenty and in want.
To become a new creature in Christ, we must let go of all sorrow and suffering – especially when it is through our pain we’ve learned to get attention from others. The truth is – we are already loved, cherished and accepted. We have nothing to prove anymore, our human love which seeks approval by men is being plucked out but in place of it… we fall into His embrace.

As we follow His leading with humility, anointing is released, in order His will may be done in our lives, hearts and minds, on Earth just as it is in Heaven. As you settle into a place of wholeness, in lack of nothing, save Him.
This is your Serendipity moment… Your date with the Divine, so to speak. All are worthy and invited to this table, as we gather together of one accord, for the purpose of glorifying Jesus in the Name of Love, Himself.
